Frequently Asked Questions
Who are Benchmark Interiors?
We set up Benchmark Interiors April 26th 2005, prior to that I was employed in the fitted furniture industry for 17 years , and prior to that I was busy learning my trade as a cabinet maker.
Why should I use you and not a company like MFI??
Many people ask us how we compare with large companies such as Magnet and MFI. We are able to source a far greater range of kitchens, bedroom and office styles than these large companies. And as we have no overheads such as large showrooms, commissioned sales people and we can buy direct from a number of manufacturers, we are able to ensure that our service offers excellent value for money.
Isn’t it more expensive to have a bespoke interior?
On the contrary, with having access to several different door companies, whilst manufacturing all the cabinetry ourselves means we can tailor the furniture to fit any budget along with your room !
Where do you source your materials?
Cabinets are manufactured from panels sourced from suppliers who have full FSC stewardship approval, doors are mainly sourced from some of the industry's leading companies with some lesser know ones being used for certain bespoke jobs.
I really like my appliances, can I get these from you as well?
We use a couple of brands, Tecnik and Cda who offer a good choice backed up with good service warranties. However we can also quote on any brand you may prefer.
Do You Provide a Warranty?
Most appliance come with a minimum 2 years parts and labour.
Furniture comes with a 5 year warranty
Hinges and drawer systems are guaranteed for the life of the furniture.
Do your kitchens come supplied with Gordon Ramsey to help me with my cooking?
No... but you can go to his website to see some excellent recipes to try out in your new kitchen. We’ll bring the wine.
Where can I see examples of your work?
There are a number of ways to see examples of our work. There is a portfolio section on this website which provides examples of work we have completed. You can also see us at our new showroom and finally you can arrange a home visit where we can show you what we have done and then discuss your own requirements.
Will a high pressure salesperson turn up and hassle us for hours and offer us all sorts of special offers and instant discounts and refuse to leave until we have signed up for a new kitchen ?
Absolutely not. We think life is to short to hassle people !! The designer, who is also the business owner, will come for an initial counsultation which will last as long as it takes to discuss your design ideas and measure up. He will then prepare a set of drawings and a cost which will be posted to you. One phone call to make sure you received the drawings then the decision is yours...............no pressure !!
How long will it take?
Average installation takes 3 days but this depends on the size of the project and the amount of work you want doing.
If I have a new kitchen from you will it mean that my other half will start to do the cooking?
Some things are just too difficult, even for us!!!
